Noč ima v jogi tako imenovano “tamastično energijo”. Energijo, ki je zelo umirjena, lenobna, za nekatere tudi depresivna. Zato je ta čas namenjen počitku, namenjen temu, da se ustavimo, da se prečistimo. Če pogledate naravo – tudi ta je bolj ležerna, brez živih barv. Ona že ve, da je čas za počitek. Za umirjenost.

Takoj, ko bo svetloba podaljševala dan se bo začelo prebujanje vseh naravnih energij (torej predvsem tistih znotraj nas). Tamastično energijo bo začela izpodrivati Rajastična. Energija dneva, strasti, akcije, aktivnosti. In, če si bomo v tem času daljših noči vzeli trenutke zase, se umirili, pogledali vase, energijo usmerili navznoter, tako kot rastline energijo usmerijo pod zemljo – bomo od jutri naprej, ko se bo dan začel zopet daljšati, z energijo svetlobe rastli počasi. Ne naenkrat, ampak uglašeno počasi. Tako, kot narava. Energija se bo počasi začela stopnjevat, prebujat takoj, ko bo naravo dalj dnevnih ur začelo ogrevati sonce. In, če poslušaš svoj bioritem in bioritem narave (tudi, če je zdaj malo vremensko zmešan) bo tudi spomladanska utrujenost manjša in bo telo polno spomladanskega zagona za nove izzive, kot da bi pognal energijo, ki jo je imel priložnost skrbno nabrati in čuvati pozimi v svoji notranjosti.

Vzemi si čas zase. Za umirjenost. Za to, da skrbno čuvaš energijo v sebi (da skrbno čuvaš sebe) in se ne razdajaš kar tako. Da boš lahko spomladi zacvetel tako, kot narava del katere smo mi vsi. 


In yoga NIGHT has so called the energy of the Tamas. The energy that is very calm, lazy and even depressed. Therefore night is meant to rest, to slow down, to clean from the inside. Just look at nature now in winter or at night. Everything slows down, now in the winter you can’t see bright colors, Nature knows that it’s time for rest.

As soon as the days will get longer the energies in the nature, which means also in us, will start to grow. Tamas energy will be taken by Rajas energy. The energy of the day, passion, action, activity. If we will take time for ourselves in the period of longer nights, turn our energies within – just like the plants do in nature, when they turn they energy underground – our energy will start growing slowly and slowly with the light of the day. Not all at once, but in a balanced slow way when nature will get more and more daylight and warmth from the sun.
If you listen to your rhythm and the rhythm of the nature you also won’t be too lazy in the spring time, but you’ll rather have full of good energy to create things, to go towards the setted goals. Just like you would wake the energy inside of you that you carefully protected during the “dark period”.

So take time for yourself. To ground. To slow down. To look from within and to protect your light inside of you. To not give yourself to others just like that. Store your energy so that in the spring time you will bloom just like nature does. Afterwards we all are a part of nature
